In 2004, Acton joined Chaussures Regence Inc, a company from Quebec City whose production expertise is renown in Canada. However, it is in 1928 that Acton's first boots appeared on the Canadian market. At this time, Acton boots were produced in Acton Vale, a Quebec province municipality, where its name comes from.
